**Update: Rowan and Martin were adopted to a (presumably) loving home!!! :)

If I was not already at maximum capacity in terms of pets in my apartment as it is, I'd be scooping this two buddies up right now. I'd take them home, give them a nice room to sniff around in, and slowly coax them out with lots of treats and cuddles. Oh. It gets better. Here is the description from the SPCA site:

Description: These beautiful cats came in after being found near Beaconsfield with a third guy who has already found his forever home. Rowan and Martin are very scared in their new surroundings and aren’t quite sure of new people so they tend to hide behind each other. Rowan (the cream coloured one) is the more curious of the two but he is still very much a scared kitty at the moment. We would really like to see these sweet cats find a forever home *together* as they seem to be *extremely* attached to one another. You can almost always see them leaning against each other or sleeping side by side in their shared cage. We know that these cats would make a wonderful addition to any home if given the chance so we’re asking you to open up your heart and give these 2 adorable guys the loving home they deserve. Because they are so scared at the moment they would need to find an owner who has lots of love and patience to let them come out of their shells.

So, if anyone is in the area, and has a little room, please consider these two. It'd be a shame to have these two friends be put down. I'm evening offering to help you out with the cost, if that's an option. Like I said, if it weren't for the possibility of being evicted from my apartment, they would live with us. Anyway. PSA over. :)

In stark contrast to my recent love of animals, I have noticed a seething hate towards some fellow members of humankind. I am typically quite easy going and extremely patient. But lately, that has flown out the window, and I'm not nearly as likely to pick up the shit some people put down. I can't say I enjoy the feeling, but it is rather liberating to have my boundaries defined. I honestly don't know why it has taken this long.

They are both very pretty cats. Hopefully someone will come along and adopt them very soon.

hooray for kitties being adopted! I had a kitty adventure of my own, where there was one stranded in my neighbour's barn after our big snow last week. I rescued and fed him and found his buddy (a bigger cat). It was fun to watch him bound through the 2 feet of snow to his friend. He wanted to come to my house, but my cats would have beat him up, and my husband would have divorced me.
